Lets start things off with a painting! This year I've decided to play less computer games and concentrate more on my artwork. This one I call 'Angry Neighbour'.
I'm never usually happy with things I do, like most artists who spend time looking at the same thing over and over. But for a change I was actually pleased with the result. It has its flaws and I'm not 100% on Superman but it'll do. I really like the way the Yeti's front leg hair turned out, if I could have got that look with the rest of the hair I would have been laughing!
But please comment, I'd love to know your views on it. Please be as blunt as you like! I plan on learning a few things this new year.

ReplyDelete.....but I think perhaps you could have pushed the pose for the Yeti... it's a little static, and the swiping hand feels like it is 'just a blurred hand', as opposed to the blur being caused by the fast movement.

@Rufus - Cheers babe, the bit around superman was from a photograph and I matte painted and extended around 70% more of it.
ReplyDelete@Rossi - Cheers bud, yeah the pose was a little weak but I just wanted to get on with the rendering :P. What do you mean just a blurred hand?! That After Effects directional blur, that's like 100% realism there! ;)
